This trip will offer cruising at its finest through the islands of Baja, from Loreto to La Paz. Conditions are likely to provide a downwind cruise, with stops along the way at several anchorages along the Baja peninsula as well as islands including the incredible Espiritu Santo. There is also potential for an overnight sail, depending on weather.
This adventure is ideal for those who want to learn and put to use the serious sailing skills of weather forecasting, navigation, and picking the best anchorage in order to sail Lintika from Loreto to La Paz but also experience the highs of cruising: beautiful water, snorkeling, hiking, and relaxing with the sunset and a cold bevy in hand.
An example timeline would mean students hop onboard in Puerto Escondido and learn about passage prep by learning to provision, diving into weather routing, night navigation, cooking underway, holding a watch in rotation, and lots of hands on sailing through beautiful islands. There should be options to check out anchorages along the way at either Isla Carmen, Isla Danzante, Isla San Francisco, Isla Espiritu, or Playa Balandra. All of these offer up crystal clear waters, beautiful beaches, great snorkeling and pure relaxation- cruiser style!
The trip includes your personalized instruction, accommodations aboard including all food and bev., safety equipment, and course materials. We ask students to board Lintika by 12pm the first day the course begins.
February temps range from a high of 78° and low 54° in the Sea of Cortez.

"It was an amazing learning experience. Lintika is a fantastic vessel that handled everything thrown at her and is great boat to learn on. The Captains explain things in detail but let you actually do them. When learning from Cruisers Academy you walk away with practical hands on experience and confidence to take on the next challenge on your own. I have learned at many places but CA is by far the best and most complete experience I have ever had. If you get the opportunity to sail with them, do not pass it up! It is a true cruising experience, not just a sailing experience."
